Obs:

Lichen abundant: Ground-layer vegetation consists of more than 50 percent lichen.
Lichen moderate: Ground-layer vegetation consists of more than 25 and a maximum of 50 percent lichen. The reindeer husbandry area according to the definition of the Sámi Parliament. Forest land is land with trees higher than 5 metres and a canopy cover of more than 10 percent, or land where trees are able to reach these thresholds in situ. Productive forest land is land suitable for forest production and not significantly used for another purpose, with potential production of at least 1 m3sk per hectare and year. Formally protected forest land according to 2023 boundaries is excluded from the productive forest land estimates. Other forest land is calculated as forest land minus productive forest land outside formally protected areas. It therefore includes both forest land that is not productive forest land and any productive forest land within formally protected areas. It must not be interpreted as an estimate of only unproductive forest land. All figures are presented as 5-year moving averages, given as the middle year.
